Super cool park with very unique features like a seesaw, climbing area, concrete slides, and a very nice bathroom area. One neat feature about the park is that it has a gated fence around the whole park, nice for little ones who like to run.

Like other reviews said, the slides are truly for big kids. They go FAST. lots of other things to play on though. Wish they had more swings but we had our turn. Love that the planes are landing constantly and flying right overhead. The kids love that. Def check out this playground.

Finally had the chance to visit the playground. Parking was easy. However, it was a weekday, not sure about weekends. Well maintained playground for kids. Not too many flowers during the time of the year. My grandson was particularly interested in airplanes flying right over the park.

Why are they never open? I seriously am so frustrated... I am sitting outside right now and it’s ckosed. It’s Tuesday, March 5, and it’s 2 pm... I’m beyonf frustrated and my kids were very excited. We drove 20 min.

Weather is big issue. It must be manned and i think by volunteers.

There's a water exhibit right when you first enter the park. Does anyone one why it's not working and why they do not have it working for at least the summer month? Maybe the drought but CA is in better shape, but sure why they don't turn it back on

From their website: Due to budgetary constraints, the water feature is not operating at this time. We are working to resolve this, and have it operating as soon as possible. And I've personally never seen it working. Just sand.

Are dogs welcome at the play garden?

No dogs other than service animals are allowed in the Playgarden, but they are allowed in the surrounding Guadalupe River Park.

Does it charge? Why there is an "opening time"? Am thinking to take kids there 8:30am and it will be closed?

Part of the appeal is that there is only one way in or out, and the park stays clean and avoids vandalism bring gated. The playground is the spongy soft surface so occasionally the park will close because the ground is too saturated in the winter, and in the summer closes when it'll be over 90 as it has no shade, so I'd recommend following the FB page to stay current.
