It's truly great for all ages. The older will love the beauty, peace and tranquility. While your two year old will love the amazing wonders just around the bend that they have never seen before! Enjoy
Its a beautiful place to go, as far as young children and elderly adults it just depends on what trail you go on. Its best to do some research before heading out to places like these. Always let someone know where your going and appx. Time your returning and always have water, snacks (especially if you have kids) and a flashlight with Xtra. batteries. Always carry a phone or waki talkies. Be sure they work prior to setting off on your adventure. Better to be Safe then sorry!!
It's amazing. Perfect for all ages, and the best part is you dont even need to get out of your vehicle! It can get a little tricky if you choose to explore and say, have a stroller. Have a map handy during your adventure. Also, if taking little ones it can get tiring so such things as a carrier that attaches to you can save the family a headache.

I've taken been there many times with my 2 yo. He loves the wilderness.. As with any wilderness related activity, always follow the safety protocols and guidelines mentioned on Cleveland National Forest website...
Beauty for all ages!
I would look at the Cleveland National Forest website. It has information about the various recreational opportunities available in these public lands, including activities ranging from modest hikes to hunting in the rough backcountry.
