What's $5 it's a great walk for young and old , great place for some nice pics , and not too awkward for older folks to get to , I travelled here from Scotland and was well worth a visit

There is a self pay station that you put money in the envelope to pay. Last time I was there, 3rd week of june, 2018, it was 5$, and No its not a donation or free like others have stated on here.
