Why does it take so long to get back into the U.S.? Do they run everybody's name or something? Or should I just anticipate a long line

Depending on the time of day, and day of the week, the best exit is the newly opened crossing. Usually you can get through in under 15 minutes. I have come through this exit in 5 minutes. The only issue is a long walk back to the trolley station.

I was on holiday(vacation) in San Diego and decided to do the tourist thing and go over to Mexico for the day,it's something I would never do again as I spent more hours waiting in queues then I did in Mexico.So unfortunately you will have to put up with a long wait.☹
