I got fired from a preschool new director because she accused me saying that a parent complained that I yelled at a child. It's not true. Someone told me that it's wrongful termination. Can Legal aid society help me?

I'm definitely not qualified to give legal info, I can give only my opinion & share what I might do. You probably make too much money as a teacher. I think their limit of income is like $1,300/mo. I wud pursue it maybe thru Dept of Employment & Fair Housing DEFH. Again, only my opinion cuz I have gone down this "system" road 4 other reasons w/these depts.. I agree with Rosemary too, & you can find the qualifications on their website. If you have any ?'s, then make an appt. ASAP. If you don't qualify, they may answer ??'s if you walk in. The whole office was very kind, they did answer a few ?'s 4 us anyway. Save a step if income is too high (LOL) Move on to the next dept.. Gear up 4 a long haul, know what you want your Outcome to be! You'll work hard too! Energies spent may be more lucrative towards a more compatible employer. Frustrated as you are. Best of luck to you!
