Theres mule deer. Some elk now and then some wild horse coyotes Mountain you see a mountain lion if you're really lucky

They also use mules to ride in to the bottom and back out of the canyon.

Hi! Yes there are human and living beings surrounding the Grand Canyon. :) I visited the park with dog Jenna, as long as pets are well behaved they are welcome to join their Humans on these beautiful sights. There are some smaller wild animals inhabiting the area too, check out desert bighorn sheep,, mules, deer, mountain lions, coyotes, gray fox, and a large variety of reptiles, birds and rodents
