This is the second point in the family friendly trail which starts at Monument creek vista. Monument creek vista to the Abyss is a 1 mile trail. The Abyss to Mohave point trail is a 1.1 mile trail and offers good views of the canyons. Restrooms : No Mobile coverage : No TIP : you can park your car at Grand canyon visitor center and take the Village route bus (Blue bus) to the bright angel trailhead point. At the bright angel trailhead, you can ride the red bus to Monument creek vista point. There might be a longer wait when boarding the Hermits rest route (red) during peak season.

Great lookout location with more down the road. Be sure to visit Hermits rest at the end of the road as they have a wonderful store and refreshments.

It's just another view of the Grand Canyon. I think it's the highest viewpoint where you can look down and see the full 6000 feet drop into open space.
