This hotel has a great location, close to the south rim of the grand canyon. However, it is very overpriced for what you get room and service wise. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast attendant was super friendly. The bathroom is pretty small and doesn't have a vent in it. The room is relatively small but decent.

Ok gang. I stay at hotels around 70 nights a year. And yes, most of them are a little higher end than holiday inn express. So here is the unvarnished truth. #1 - rooms are clean and exactly what you get at a standard holiday inn express. Room plans are identical and if you stayed at one this is what you get. Fixtures are a little outdated but everything was extremely clean. #2 - great value. There is nothing in the area that I would say is a 4 star hotel. You get great value for your $$$. All you want is a good, clean place to stay. Not a resort. Go hiking. Go to the canyon. Resort somewhere else. #3 - this gets an A++++ the staff is amazing, friendly, helpful. Breakfast is great and well stocked. Everything was exceptionally clean and well run. The staff was amazing. I have rarely had such selfless service from a staff during a stay. So bottom line. It is exactly what you should get from a holiday inn express. Up against other properties in the area it is very exceptional. If you need or want service from the staff...this place is exceptional. Especially the young lady that host the breakfast. She never stops and loves serving. Great place to crash in-between hikes or trips to the park. You are about 10 min to the main entrance of the park. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Positive: This hotel is beautiful and comfortable! The staff were over the top helpful and friendly. Especially in the breakfast room! You will think your in a 5 star restaurant because of the helpful Waite staff! Very delicious food too! Negative: It was very busy but I guess that's because its the best place in town!!!

The hotel is great. staff members are very nice and friendly, especially, Inmena in Cafeteria area; kitchen staffs are very enthusiastic and brighten your day at Grand canyon. the hotel is only few minutes away from the park and conveniently located for restaurants and grocery store. The only minus part about the hotel was that the hotel room was a little outdated. overall, good food and great place to stay. if going to Grand Canyon, this is highly recommended.

Check the web site for the times breakfast is served.
2 miles/ 5 minute by car to the entrance. Then another 8 minutes to The Village/ Bright Angel Lodge.
I've flown into Flagstaff on two occasions. Small airport but it works and the drive to the Grand Canyon is nice from there. There's a nice National Monument on the way. Sunset Crater. It's really cool.
I believe there are shuttles that run often. Ask the people at the front desk for more details.
