Tusyan is 2 minutes outside the south rim entrance. Plenty of restaurants near along with motels. Expect to pay 50% more for anything there. I recommend filling up gas before and getting needed supplies in advance. I have been traveling a lot and by far the most expensive city so far they are price gouging there .
There are hotels in Williams (about 45 minutes away) and in Tusayan (about 2 minutes from the south gate). The usual chains are in both areas though more choices in Williams. Easiest to stay in Tusayan, best use of your time to explore the park more. Plus there are elk roaming around Tusayan these days, saw a few in a parking lot just passing through.
The town of Williams is close and has many hotel choices.
Sorry I'm really not to sure, we have an RV and stayed at the KOA
