The south rim bus system is amazing and easily accessible. The distances traveled between the bus stop and the canyon rim are very short with paved flat walkways throughout. You should have no trouble with getting around! :) Just be weary of the upcoming summer months though, it can get quite hot. Be sue to take a hat and sunscreen!
South Rim is handicapped accessible. They have a train that runs to the Grand Canyon from Williams. That is a way to see lots of scenery in comfort.

My grandmother uses a motorized scooter and didn't have any issues traveling to any stops using their tram system. On a side note I'm so glad she went as it was on her bucket list. She passed away about 2 years after seeing the grand canyon.
