Ruth's Chris, Morton's, and El Gaucho all have superior selling points of food quality. Since all three are ala carte, it is really the responsibility of the customer to determine what combination of items make for the best dining experience. Though pricey, the best approach is to compare all three and decide for yourself. The wise meat lover will add Ringside to the mix.
In Portland RC has a better location and is much newer. Morton's is a little old and tired. RC has a better Happy Hour but Morton's has a much better filet mignon!
I am personally a fan of the T-bone and Mortons' doesn't serve a T-bone on their menu, so I will side with Ruth's Chris every time. Both steakhouses have great service but Ruth's Chris has more steak choices. Depending on which city you are in, though, the menu options can vary. I'd let your local menus guide your choice.
There is Not a better Steak than Ruth Chris. Hands down, and i Love my meat Mmmmm. Simply the Best
I prefer Morton's if I had to pick. But I also like to mix it up, so I will return to Ruth Chris and El Gaucho. I find Morton's has a cozier, friendly atmosphere, although still professional.
I prefer Morton's, always have had top notch service and food there. Ruth Chris just wasn't as good.
