There isn't any actual swimming area but I did saw a few kayakers swam in the lake. Tho the water is pretty gross at this time of the year not sure if you want to swim in it. I don't see anyone fishing here but I guess you probably can if you have a license. The only spot I can think it be a good spot to fish is along the trail into Mt Terrace bridge.
