The beaches are open all the time, I saw a lot of locals with tents and campers off the access roads down around Port Aransas. You can sleep in your vehicle on any beach 24/7/365 but I was told you have to have a pole in the water on the main beaches in Aransas Pass. You will need a Nuances County beach parking permit sticker for your windshield, $12 at any of the local gas stations, open 24/7, and a fishing permit, one day pass is $16, out of state 1 year permit is $64 as of 2018.

Yes it is. If you want your vehicle on the beach there is a yearly fee of $12.

I think they said they were aiming for October to open up overnight camping but not sure if that's changed
