This is a historic state park focusing on the 1800s. Throughout the year they offer tours of preserved and replicated homes. There is also a blacksmith forge, a candle shop, a printing press, and a gun museum. Annual events include the Five Trails Frontier Days (February), Shakespeare in the Park (March), the Jonquil Festival (March), Music in the Park (free concerts during the summer months), Civil War Weekend (November), and Christmas and Candlelight (December).
Tour of actual historic buildings. Such as the courthouse that was the Confederate capital of Arkansas during the civil war. Also a rebuilt blacksmith shop on the same site as the original blacksmith shop site. This shop is globally known for being the site of where the first BOWIE KNIFE was forged. Festivals at certain times of the year. Many other buildings to see. A restaurant to eat great food at. Give it a shot. I love it.
Excellent, reasonably priced food in the historic colonial tavern. The park is like a small but more real Williamsburg. Nice carriage ride around the town is available.
It is a town with many restored buildings. They have some gift shops and a blacksmith shop. It is really good for the history buff.
