Is the park and beach dog friendly?

There is a designated dog beach area. At the moment this area happens to be the only "beach" that has some sand. The park is dog friendly.

Yes, absolutely! The dogs are allowed on all trails except the Swales Nature Trail (about 1/2 mile). Dogs are welcome on the beach south of the lighthouse. Leashes must be used on the sand. Dogs are not permitted in the buildings, including the cabins.

They allow leashed pets from 9 am to 1030 am. After that you can go to the primitive beach on the southern end.
