Wife and I, plus our two dogs went there to cool off from the hot weather. The water looks beautiful and even though the weather was in the upper 80s, the water is still cold and refreshing! If you are lucky, you can get a parking spot at the ranger station parking lot, otherwise you have to park in a separate parking lot down the road and walk back. Even if you get the parking spot at ranger station parking lot, it is still a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach. Warning for your feet and dogs paws, on a hot day the sand is very hot. There was a lot of dogs, all were friendly with friendly people. Recommended visiting with your dogs.

One of my favorite state parks to bring the dogs! Amazing and huge dog beach. Campsites are nice and the concession stand has the best ice cream!

We camped one night here and loved it. Our spot was just across the dunes fromthe beach. The beach was clean sand and beautiful. Our favorite part was the weekend breakfast at the store.

Didn't get to check out the Ice Age, but initial impression was weak on trails, high on bugs (lots of standing water naturally in swales), and campsites are tightly packed. Maybe 3 sites along the main road would be worth the drive (only private sites). Beach is beautiful, and the main building is quite nice with food, supplies, and gifts. Lighthouse was best feature, but as private, off limits to visitors.

They have electric hook ups. Go to Wisconsin state parks website for cost. You'll have park entry and site. Annual passes are well worth the cost.
Yes!!! The concession has bike rentals. I was there in July 2019 so this is current info. The concession is located at the northeast end of the campground in the "Lodge". They also sell basic camping supplies as well as a decent food menu. Have a great time there.
Yes they have a special Beach area for dogs. A nice little trail for you and your pup to walk down to the Beach. A very large stretch a beach! Bring your chairs, cooler and a blanket! Have fun!
Yup! It will be open from late April through mid to late October. Outside of that time, water can be obtained at the shop or office.
Camping is available year round. Regular camping reservations end the last weekend of October, but you are welcome to walk in the purchase a site. Reservations resume the last weekend in April. The cabins are reservable year round. Water in the campground will be turned off in mid to late October, but you can always get water at the shop or the office.
I am not sure. I apologize. Best bet is to look it up online or call them directly. It is a state park so I am assuming it is as any other state run campground. It is a really cool place. Lots of trees, beaches. Beautiful.
Yes, it is a great place for kids! You can park right at the beach and don't have to hike at all.
There is a concession stand in the lodge that has nice gift items, some of which are really cool and unique. Not a large selection.
Yes! The doors have been open since June 15. The window service opened last fall. In the summer, the office is open until 7:30. In spring, fall, and winter, call ahead as there is limited staffing.
Not sure what weekend but there will be a project going on in the campground this coming Fall. Campsites 75-120 will be closed until project is finished.
If your asking about the concession in the park then yes. They are open 1-7pm with fish fry starting at 4:30 I think.
Yes there is a beach past the light house for dogs to go/swim
There is a designated dog beach area. At the moment this area happens to be the only "beach" that has some sand. The park is dog friendly.
I was just there last weekend, plenty of beach. Miles of it, some areas the sand area is wider, but there's plenty of beach
I was there last weekend. It is open, just no available staff and all of the bathrooms are locked.
Julie. Hiking and bicycle only. In winter there is a snowmobile connector trail open if conditions permit.
If you stay close to the shore you'll be okay. Maybe check out the twin rivers (in downtown Two Rivers) to launch and get your bearings.
Yes there is
Reservations are a good idea. I believe the hold a few open for first come first serve, or they used to. Call and check on this. If so you will have to get there really early in the morning to get those sites.
And
I am not sure I wish could help sorry for not knowing the Answer.
Yes there are showers and the facilities are nice. The prices vary for sites with water and electric verses sites without.. I didn't camp there, we just went for a day trip. We did check out the camping and prices but I no longer have that info on hand...sorry! I know it's easily found on their website tho. Beautiful place for a stay or a quick trip for the day. They even have an area along the beach for dogs too.
Most site there are secluded. Look at map of campsites. 😎
You need to go to the Point Beach state park site and check it out. I never heard about the sites you are asking about, but there could be. Sites are reserved on Reserve America. Point Beach does have a few non reserve sites, but you need to go there to see when they are are going to be open and come early on that day to register. I am sorry I can not be more helpful, my brother in law makes all the reservations. This is a beautiful park and my favorite of all the state parks.
We only went to the beach for the day. Im not sure what the fees are. There are electric/water sites and non electric/water sites as well. So fees will vary. I just looked it up! Non resident for weekend is $27. And $37 for electric/water.
No. However, some of the campsites and cabins are close by.
Then no. No lifeguard etc.
There is a special dog beach there. It is south of the lighthouse.
Yes indeed they allow pets, must be attended to at all times, and must be leashed. 🐕
You can't camp right down on the sand and beach. The sites are in the woods right after the beach area ends. Depending on your tent site or if you're in one of the cabins, you might be 150 feet from the beach.
