If the majestic is closed you may want to check out Rush Creek Lodge which is outside the park but a 1/2 mile to a park entrance.

Yes the entire valley is cutrently closed

Parts of the park are not accessible because of the fires but Yosemite canyon, wherr the Magistic Hotel is located was suppose to open on Sunday. The problem is fi dinf a route there and than having to be in an area that is covered with smoke haze and ash and having respitory complications.

I don't work at the hotel, but I'm going to guess that it is. I've been getting notices from the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office about the fire. The most recent one said the Yosemite Valley is still closed. That's where the Majestic is located. To be sure, you should probably call the hotel and check.
