how is the fishing here. im really wanting to camp, hike and fish in a couple of weeks but im trying to get an idea on the best spots for fishing

Youll catch some small bass.

The buffalo is good for small game fish such as small mouth bass and sun perch

Lower buffalo is what darst canoe outpost told us when we was there

Diamond city has camping and good fishing

Fished last saturday few hours at Steel Creek...no luck

Any place a bit deep works well.

Hiking and camping is great! Especially in the spring or fall when the water is high and its not has hot. The upper buffalo (near Jasper/Ponca) is my favorite area. Not a fisherman so I cant speak to that.
