It's cool but you can't go in or anything like that. It's about a 10 foot by 10 foot square going down the steps. Not really much to see to be honest. Just because its called devils well doesn't mean its extraordinary because you cant go into it which probably is a good reason they have it completely blocked off. The trail out to the cave isn't special either. The best way to see it is to kayak the river to it.

Fun hike. Devil's Well is right next to the parking lot. If you have time hike the Cave Spring Loop. The trail is easy to follow. If you go down to the cave, it's over 5 miles. The gravel road is a little rough going down to the trail head.

Had a great time hiking the short distance to devil's well. If you have the time (3.5hr - 4hr total) definitely take the longer trail also, over to the cave it's well worth the hike.

A hidden gem! Came for the devils well & stayed for the intriguing hike to the cave spring. Put up the tent for the night in the small park area and hiked about 4 miles round trip to the gorgeous cave spring. Tip: don't leave for your hike …

There is a pond that you wouldn’t want to get into. I wouldn’t recommend it. Plenty of spots around there though. We went to Devil’s Well last weekend and followed it up with swimming at Echo Bluff State Park off of Highway 19. It was a wonderful time.
Just visited and tent camped. A sign at bottom of the drive/entrance of park mentioned picnics and camping were allowed. Picnic tables and BBQ grill spaces are there. No cars or campers though, only foot traffic from parking area.
