Of course five stars. It’s a National Battlefield! There’s a small visitor center, but packed with quality relics and interesting information on the second battle of the Civil War. They also have a short documentary on the battle that I suggest you check out prior to heading out to the battlefield loop. I also checked out the library and spoke with Jeff Patrick the Head Librarian who provided me useful information on the battle and the boundaries of said battle so I could legally do some metal detecting in the area.

It was a unique experience going here. The silence of the place is almost eerie after learning about all the things that happened there. The flowers along the fields where the battles happened leave you wondering how something so beautiful could come after something so tragic. In understanding history it had to happen for it did happen, yet it was so peaceful and dogs are allowed. I choose to drive through and take the dogs out periodically throughout the park, which I am glad I did, the rest of the time it was quick stops to read the signs and admire the field before me. I am excited to go back and take some of the trails they have, also even if you drive through, wear comfortable clothes and shoes because there is walking involved.

Absolutely beautiful! I'd put it up there with Gettysburg as far as information and the visitor center. Blew Vicksburg out of the water. Definitely recommend coming here!

First battlefield we've explored and did not disappoint! Our guide at the Ray's Home was so knowledgeable and has such a love for what he does we felt immersed in the experience. HIGHLY recommend!!

The very FIRST union general was killed in the battle at this very site. The Confederacy clearly won this battle in the Missouri boarder state but in the end, the Union won the war.
Go to the Soldiers and Sailors database on the Natl Parks website. They have a full listing of those who served.
Not in the building's. Only service dogs are allowed in the building's.
Don't think so

No sure. You could probably give them a call.
Absolutely, but there are indeed lots of horses so hopefully your dog is not afraid of them.

Its now $ 20 per vehicle and 35 for annual pass. Its also good for admission to Pea Ridge
The main office and store is closed you can drive thru it but cant go in like the ray house its all locked up
$10 a person, unless you are a senior and you can buy a park pass for all National Parks
We were able to use our National Park Pass, if you by any chance have one. And if you might go to any other National parks, monuments, etc. within the year, it might be worth purchasing. I believe we paid $80 (no discounts-regular price). I'm not sure if it is good for 2 or a car full. My husband and I travel together and it works for the 2 of us.
No, you cannot fish on the National Park land or water however you can fish in Wilson's Creek above and below the park boundaries. Normal Missouri fishing rules apply.
The battlefield is closed three days a year: Christmas, New Years Day and Thanksgiving. You will need to buy passes.
What Melissa said. Keep in mind that it closes at noon on Christmas Eve December 24th
If you are a senior over age 62, you can purchase an $80 life time pass to all national parks snd monuments.
Yes what Hannah said of course if you are a member of national parks than there is no fee you cannot get on the battlefield without paying they will give you a token that you need to drop into the slot in order for the gate to open up
I've been there a few weeks ago, and the tombstones are from the 1800's.
