There was a ranger there to provide historic information. There was also a lady there baking on the old stove. There were no farm animals where we could see them.

Pretty trees! And there are a few cows, chickens and pigs. A quiet and quaint area away from the beach crowd. We didn’t get to experience the whole area but 3 stars for the things we did get to see with the toddlers.

Yes, you have to go to the Visitor Center on Indiana 49 on the southside of the intersection with U.S. 20. Possibly at an information station, but there hours are erratic.
