The best time to see the elk is early morning and late afternoon, just before dark.
Anywhere. Most likely from Ponca, south and west between Hwy 43 and the river. Best time at dawn and dusk. Good Luck!
We didn't see any Elk there, it was mid afternoon and quite a few people were around
The fields right across from the entrance to Lost Valley Trail and if you get there early enough when they cross the dirt road at the Ponca low bridge. Ask at the BOC store in Ponca they are always helpful.
We saw elk on the road into and out of the park....beautiful herds

Go to visitors center at Tyler's bend they can tell you where they've been spotted that morning
Newton County is the best place for elk. In Northwest Arkansas. Boxley is a good place.
