You can always call the park services or Wild Bill's canoe rental, they should be able to tell you. When we were there in June Wild Bill's let us know the best place to put in for the water levels & we only had to get out & pull our canoe 1 time.
I've heard from a friend that the river is a little higher from the recent rains. I floated on July 4 and we drug over the shoals about half the time. The Park Service has a river level indicator on their web site. It's my favorite place to be when I need to get away.
