Yes they are clean and in suitable environment. But what I saw was, most of them looked sleepy and tired.

They certainly seem so, given a zoo environment. You don't see things like the solitary elephant, or animals left out in cold weather just so people can see them. The priority is their welfare, not your entertainment. For that, I respect the zoo.
