Nice and Relaxing... you can walk, jog or ride bikes while listening to the water from the river. Great Views... if you do the whole 2.5 miles down, you'll be at the dam... Very Nice!

Great walk through Columbia along the old canal system. Well-maintained and relaxing. Perfect for a romantic walk with someone special!

Beautiful. The Canal Trail and Park are incredible. We saw so much wildlife . Even an alligator enjoying the sunshine. Lots of trash and much around the dam. Clean public bathrooms at both end of the canal walk.

Quaint little park with long walking/running/biking trail. Popular park most great weather days. Plenty of parking, one restroom, photo spots, and kids areas.

Yes for people and dogs at the beginning of the park but once you walk across the bridge there are none
If going between the enterance off Laurel to the diversion dam, I'm pretty sure it's 2.5 miles one way, not 1.5.
Yes
Yes it a friendly dog park. They have water set out for them in different places.
I think its once you walk in on the path, keep going straight until you see the water straight ahead on the path. To the left of where the restrooms are. Hopefully that helps.
It does have bike rentals
No
Yes
I don't know explicitly if metal detecting is allowed but there is posted prohibition.
I think it is either 2.5 or 3 to the end and then the same back, but it is fairly level and is paved with .25 mile markers
I would say no to standing up paddle boating. It's not deep but not shallow enough for standing up. Just my opinion someone else may see it differently.
Yes.
I don't know but I know on the west Columbia side you can but your have to walk at least 2 or 3 Mike from where u park your car to where you can fish

There are rip currents, definitely where life vests. You should check with park rangers.
Yes it is. Just have to watch out for rocks, trees and snakes. But, overall it is safe.
Definitely earlier than that. Im not sure exactly when it opens (or if it even really closes), but ive gone running there at about 530 am a bunch of times
People float down the river alot in the summer using tubes with large groups. But swimming I would not recommend.Thw River can be very rocky in places..
Cypress, crepe myrtle, oak, and birch.
Fix damage from the flood and make a few improvements to beautify the place!
Yes if you can brave the rocks and bushes , I have caught bass ,and pan fish here in the past
