Is this a safe river to float down in tubes? Is there any dangers to be aware of?

There are rip currents, definitely where life vests. You should check with park rangers.

Well I would say float at your own risk .....it has snakes in the water...and not to mention possible other reptilian animals.

People go tubing all the time, but not from this spot

While I was there I saw people on boats/canoes, but I didn't see anyone on inflatable tubes.
