There are rip currents, definitely where life vests. You should check with park rangers.

If you are not worried about snakes or being alligator bait, floating down the river would be very enjoyable.

Yes, overall it is safe. Just have to watch out for rocks, trees, kayakers and snakes. But, yes it is safe.

Well I would say float at your own risk .....it has snakes in the water...and not to mention possible other reptilian animals.

While I was there I saw people on boats/canoes, but I didn't see anyone on inflatable tubes.
