Not sure of exact cost, but I think it was around $20 for 2 of us to drive up yourself. Awesome drive with breath taking views, but if anybody in the vehicle is afraid of heights, may not be a very enjoyable ride to the summit.

If you want to drive up the mountain (highest in Northeast), you are looking for the Mount Washington Auto Road in Pinkham Notch, not the Cog Railway. However, the Mount Washington Cog is a beautiful and historic alternate way up the mountain. They go up different sides of the mountain, so the views are different. The Cog Railway train has a big locking gear in the middle that lets it climb steep slope.
