Is there a heated indoor area at the summit? I’d like to take my elderly parents up but they would not be comfortable outside for more than a few minutes. Or would it be better to just drive up in our own car?

There is a heated station at the summit, and the train cars are also heated. However, the mountain is now covered in snow and ice, so I'm not sure how much longer the train will be going. Call ahead.

Yes the summit has an observation center that is out of the elements. Keep in mind the summit weather is far different than base of the mountain
