We were given a tour by Elle, she was so funny and so knowledgeable! The cave was really breathtaking. So many ancient formations! I definitely wish we got to go down to see the lakes as well, but the glimpse we got into the crystal clear waters was pretty great as well!

Absolutely breathtaking!!! 2.5 hours south of Reno, just outside of Jackson California and historic Volcano California!! Best tour guide ever Addie!!! Thank you so much for your sense of humor and knowledgeable tour! It was a one of a kind experience and I can hardly wait to go back!

Black Chasm is a privately run location; however, it has some of the most beautiful natural formations you’ll normally find in national park. Tours are offered by experienced guides and conducted rain or shine. The caverns are extremely breathtaking and open. Please note that some of the paths and stairs are very steep and tight.

This cavern is a place to visit if you are around. It is not huge but looks amazing. Tours with small groups every hour. Decent parking, clean toilet. Senior ticket is $16. Full ticket price is slightly higher. The cavern is accessible with kids. Note: all seasons air temperature inside cavern is 57-58F. Highly recommend.

No you show up and get on list for the day tours only take about 30+ minutes it is well worth it. The gift shop will keep you busy.
No, it is not a national park. I think it is owned by a private company.
I was there about 9months ago. Want to say it was about $12 for an hour long tour. Pretty cool experience, good guides and remember thinking the price was fair.
You can't really dig for anything, except maybe in the gift shop.
Not a good place if you have bad knees. Steep stairs and a lot of them.
Definitely between 15 and $20. Make sure you walk the trails that are nearby too, they're beautiful.
