Get an aisle seat, near the middle. You'll be fine. Just remember that you are always on the ground no matter how high you go.

There is land on both sides of the cog train almost entirely up the mountain. It is the final few minutes that you are on the more open area and might be pensive. If you look to the right, you only see land.

My Mum's 77 and terrified of heights and she did it and was glad she did. And Mum wasn't alone, there was a few others who said they were but were fine. It really doesn't feel like you're going that high. It's worth it!

I did both and found the cog rail very safe. I had nightmare when I took the auto road. Nice and easy way up. I loved it. Good luck
