I so very much want to give a sarcastic answer, but I will resist... This time.. It is called the "Hilton" Atlanta because, well, it's located in Atlanta.. And the owner of the building, Westmont Hospitality Group, has a licensing agreement with Hilton to use the name... These agreements almost always require the individual locations to operate at-or above- a specific standard.. Thus giving your average guest a rather good idea of what to expect. Additionally, making these agreements can make it possible for an Indio hotel to charge more based off the brand... Not to mention the addition room sales generated just by name recognition.
Because its the Hilton and its in downtown Atlanta.
From my recent visit, I would say because of the many Hilton properties in the Metro Atlanta area, this one is located in the heart of downtown. There are various properties throughout Atlanta but from what I have observed, this is the tallest building.
