No, the trail starts very high, just over 10, 000 ft. at the parking lot/trail head. Then, there is a path that switchbacks to the summit. Just a strenuous hike. The road closes for the winter so there is no access to the trailhead when it snows. They don't plow it. Check website to see status of road conditions.
