absolutely awesome park - incredible vistas from the top of Lassen Peak if you go up there (start very early if the weather is to be warm) -super neat boiling geo thermal areas (google Bumpass Hell) - great camping, and it's very neat to see what the top of a volcano looks like - you can walk around up top
A beautiful and uncrowded National Park. Plan ahead and get off the beaten path some. A little planning on the NPS website will pay big dividends.
I have been to 28 National Parks and this is one of my favorites. Great hiking, not crowded in September.
Lassen is a premier National Park. It is most accessable in Summer and Fall.
it takes an hour to drive thru the park the best camping is at Butte Lake and is rarely busy. I took my kids there every summer from 1990 to 2015 and the only drag was when the scout jamboree happened simultaneouslytalk about ugly Americans.....
S little off the beaten path. Have been to over 50 nat. Parks and this little visited is a favorite. First week of June some of the roads were still snow covered. Beautiful scenery. Hot Springs bubbling pots.definitely recommend
Beautful, natural, wild, clean!
You can get to the Visitor's Center in winter, if you don't mind snowshoeing up you can ski down, cross country skiing, fairly busy on the weekend with families. The snack bar in the Visitor's Center is open some times in winter.
Beautiful.
Probably not open yet, or the roads arn't clear. Wait until June, and be prepared to be in awe .
