Check the Hertz website for their terms and conditions, or call them. Also, if you go through the booking process online, from a discount provider like hotwire or something like that, you can (and should always, but most people don't) read those terms and conditions as well. You have to agree to those before you finalize the booking and pay, so there's no risk to do it.
