Always loved the faire, however haven't visited for a few years. Would always ride my bike up, but now not running. Are there trains from NYC to the faire???

There is a bus from the Port Authority Terminal in NYC that drops you off at our gate and picks you up to return to NYC in the evening. You may purchase tickets as part of a package deal, which includes admission to the Faire, or bus only, if you already have tickets to the Faire. More info here: https://web.coachusa.com/shortline/booking.asp?action=ProductDetail&TRP=1&productId=3167 There is a NJ transit train - Port Jervis Line - that stops in Tuxedo. Although not impossible to get an uber/lyft from the station, they are few and far between in the area. It it too far to walk from the train station, and would include walking back down 17/17A in the dark in the evening, which is not safe.

You could probably at least get a train to Harriman. Then an uber or maybe there is a bus.
