Very loud, very crowded, ATVs constantly going by! Camp sites basically on top of each other.

Didn’t camp here as it was full, but took a loop through the campground. Had a cluttered look with people definitely staying there for the long haul. Wouldn’t really recommend unless needed in a pinch.

Excellent site just outside Ouray. The fee station is 1 mile past Angel Creek at the next site up. Most of the areas are not -on- the river, but the river can be heard! There are two thunderpots at Angel Creek that could be emptied a bit more often. Gathering your own firewood must be encouraged because what you can purchase from the local market is a $9 bundle imported from Utah!

A little bumpy getting into but decent sites -some on the creek, some not. Close drive to Ouray and some great trails walking distance from camp ground.

First come, first served. Weekends are usually packed by Thursday, Friday if you're lucky.
The road was a little bumpy when I was there but I had a mini van and was fine. You shouldn't have any problems -but there is another camp ground further up that's a little more level, if you do.
Not that I remember... There's no hookup for anything. Just a standard campground
I wouldn't plan on being able to navigate the campground road with a fifth wheel. Now, I don't have firsthand experience driving one of those, but you should take seriously the recommendation for having a high ground clearance vehicle to use the campground.
During peak season (June-Aug) this camp stays quite full all week but you should be able to find a spot Sunday evening - Thursday pretty reliably. There is no host so it never closes. Just show up and if a spot is available it's yours.
