I very much enjoyed living at Modena Apartments. The grounds are well-kept. The place felt secure. Every time I had to go to the office and speak with management they were professional and courteous. All my maintenance requests were responded to promptly. Having easy access to the Papago Park trails was also a really nice feature.

My husband and I have lived in these apartments for almost 9 years. We have always loved living here. The grounds are kept well groomed and they are extremely pet friendly! I happen to live in one of the older units that requires a bit more maintenance than others. Our work orders are completed within 48 hours, though in an emergency they’ve come at 9pm. The maintenance staff is wonderful. Ernesto is our favorite. He’s always smiling, and he’s quick and efficient. When I saw him outside today, I thought he was here for my bathroom. He wasn’t, but he came inside anyway and assessed the issue. He left and came back less than 10 minutes later, and he replaced the hardware on the tub! It was so nice and I know he was very busy today. We appreciate you all!

When I first came to Modena, in Dec 2020, for a tour of the apartment complex, I was impressed by the location and amenities they had to offer. They told me I would have a dryer and washer when I first move in, since the apartment I had looked at didn't have one, they assured me they were going to install one as soon as I moved in. I was sold by that and the decent pricing of the unit. Fast forward one year later, I didn't get my washer and dryer like they had promised me. I've had contacted them several times regarding it and all they say is that it is not in the contract, when in fact they had told me personally it would. Yes, to some extent it was dumb of me not to check for that specifically in the contract, but I had totally trusted them. We now have a newborn and we are struggling because of that. Their onsite laundry rooms are super dirty and low maintained. Dog hairs are in the dryers and washers, and I am not going to wash my babies clothes in those laundry rooms. The pricing of the apartments at this moment (FEB 2022) are pretty high and I would recommend to look elsewhere. The apartment itself has some details that are clearly have been covered with minimal fixes and some cheap paint. The walls are thin, the smell of your neighboring apartments are sometimes penetrating to your apartment (also an issue because of baby). The gate is always broken, the code doesn't open the gate and there's always traffics jams passed 6pm. Overall, the apartment complex itself is well maintained and the amenities like the pool, gym, park, and access to the hiking trail is nice. But yeah, make sure to read your contract very well before signing, because of the promises they will make to you (just like they promised for my dryer and washer) won't be met.

Cockroaches! Beware! When we first moved in, we had to wait until 3 PM to pick up our keys because maintenance was “repairing” some things. We get into the apartment and realize that the floors are FILTHY, the washing machine is leaking, the toilets hardly function, a widow was broken, and the shelf in the master bedroom is cracked. What were they actually fixing in there if they left the place in total chaos??? Not to mention we had a severe case of cockroaches when we moved in, absolutely disgusting. They tried to charge us for the cockroach treatment and it took a total of three times to get rid of the pests. Our neighbors are loud and blare music at odd hours of the night, the neighbors leave trash everywhere making it look ghetto. Our neighbor parks a huge Lowe’s truck in the fire lane every single day, we are screwed if there is actually a fire here. There are abandoned cars in our parking lot that have been sitting there for months. Management doesn’t care. The only good thing is that the rooms and kitchen have updated appliances.

They are pet friendly very much so. Should be no problemo.

water (allocated), trash, and renters insurance is paid with the rent, and the complex doesn't use gas since water heaters and stoves are electric.
