We booked this tour the day before we were departing and I wished it would have been sooner. Vanessa is a great ambassador of the city and extremely knowledgeable of underground tunnels. It is a must see tour and an unforgettable experience you will not regret. Let her wow you with even the most minute details and access beyond your expectations. THANK YOU ASTROVILLE!!!

My favourite part of my trip to Houston, Texas, was walking through the downtown Houston tunnel system with a friend. Because it was so hot and uncomfortable outside, the climate in the tunnel was refreshingly cool. I observed a lot of offices, restaurants, conference spaces, cafes, hotels, and display rooms, and I was particularly impressed with the engineering and pedestrian walkways. We were told that the tunnel is 20 feet below the earth's surface, 6 miles long, and connects to over 90 city blocks. As I walked, I wondered, "What if the tunnel collapses?" 🤣 My friend and I were bored of walking to the end of the tunnel, so we had to turn around and go home. I'm still thinking about the tunnel as I type this message. It was a pleasure to tour this tunnel. ❤️

Yes, the general public can into them.
From where you are, you can go to 1 Houston Center and cross over to the Park Shops...take the escalator all the way down and take the escalator near Tejas Sports Bar/Restaurant.
No, they close early afternoons and weekends.
Find Cour yard with Wendy's in it, after you've entered mall level, restrooms by escalater

Yes
After 1 PM offices are closed
No, there isn't.
Yes every day
The system is open and alive and kickin'. Was there yesterday, 14 June 2018. Packed
The tunnels are open every day the buildings are open. M-F, except holidays. If you ever wonder if the downtown tunnels are open, call any security desk of any large building above the tunnels.
The tunnels are available M-F during working hours.
Central Biz District tunnels are clear--never flooded. Theatre District tunnels are spotty--call the Theatre for specifics
Spaghetti Warehouse is underwater along with the Theatre District so I would assume the tunnels are not safe. I suggest contacting the JW Marriott for more info.
There are elevators at certain locations.
No It's just a tunnels with several section of a food court areas more designed for corporate workers to have lunch there and some occasional convenient stores like gift shops and places to cut hair. Don't recommend it for young teenagers since it's not a place for young shoppers.
Not sure if this helps https://www.downtownhouston.org/maps/?1
It's a set of tunnels, most of them connected, that link different buildings from the underground. There are mainly restaurants and other food suppliers. Some other services can also be found in the tunnels such as hair salons. In order to find clothing stores you need to go "upstairs" to the malls that can be reached from the tunnels.
Streets around the area
There are many garages, I suggest you use the one on 1256 Lamar Street
Different hours but if you mean the Tunnels they close @ 6:00 pm M-F closed weekends.
Yes, until 1 PM
I don't know of any tunnel businesses open on the weekend.
Surface parking or parking garages. Most people have contacts at certain buildings for additional guidance but many garages have access.
No!
Most shops are open by 8 or 9 but the breakfast and coffee spots are open before 7. Access to the tunnels in the business district is closed by 7pm
Google it AND the map. Otherwise it won't mean anything
I think 7am to 7pm. But it is dependent upon building hours and possibly the time if year. Most eateries are closed by 2 or 3.
The business district tunnels are open! Starbuck's under Pennzoil is closed.
