Take the Pike Place garage elevator to the 6th floor. This is found on the outside of the parking garage if you arrive by foot or else you risk getting run down the the nascar drivers trying to escape the parking garage. Once we located the rental desk, everything was straightforward since we had booked online with our AAA discount. Very few places had rentals cars for our dates, but they were the only ones nearby that had something to accommodate 6 people. We were thankful to get a Toyota Highlander vs a larger SUV. Writing this before we return our rental, hoping I don't jinx our good experience with them thus far. 🙂

I wish I could deduct stars from this, should be like -5. Please save yourself a nightmare and don't rent from this location. They don't have after hours drop-off. Will you see this on their website? No. No you will not. Normally, not a problem, but our airline changed our departure time to one much earlier. No big deal right? Wrong. Dead wrong. How about an extra $600? Instead of charging the $12.99 they advertise on their website to drop-off at different location, they want to charge a one-way rental now. Not a legal expert, but not advertising you can't do after hours drop-off is and then charging for it is probably at least borderline illegal. Definitely unethical. Way to profit off other people's misfortune Hertz! All because you don't want to pay for security at this location because it's dirty and unsafe. Enjoy the homeless in the area using the sidewalks as their restrooms and stealing anything that isn't bolted down (and some things that are)! Maybe just close this location Hertz, it's sad and gross. Feel bad for your employees who work there, they were actually awesome, but can't give this scumbag company any credit after the awful customer service from corporate. Trash.

We picked our car up at the airport and they scheduled our drop off for this downtown location. When we arrived at the scheduled time there was no one working and they didn’t have a drop box for keys. They had signs posted saying that we were liable for anything that happened to the car and any extra time until someone showed up to service the car, even though they are the ones who told us to drop the car off here. We had to board a cruise so we didn’t have time to take the car anywhere else. When we tried to call Hertz for help, we could not get connected to a human through their phone tree. Pro tip: you have to pretend you want a new reservation in order to get any help. Do not rent from here unless you absolutely have to.

I rented the vehicle on 12/19/2021 At the Seattle airport. The vehicle had no tread on the front two tires so when it snowed I couldn’t drive anywhere. I finally was able to get the car back to the downtown Seattle location after being stranded at a hotel the majority of my trip to visit family for the holidays. We also had to have a police officer help us get through an ice patch and he told us that the tires on the car were not street legal and the car should have not been rented to us. I brought the car back a day early and was still charged the full amount. I explained to the staff what had happened and they contacted the district manager Christopher Plummer and he told me over the phone that he would be issuing me a full refund for the car rental. I have reached out to Mr. Plummer several times done then and he never responds back with an ETA on the refund. I don’t know how this company stays in business! Worst customer service ever!

Give them a call Rienk, they may even come and get you.
Of course! Hertz is the best rental car company for travelling to Canada because there is unlimited mileage!
I also saw a similar thing but received unlimited mileage when it came to the actual rental. That being said just as a heads up, I was there about a month ago and upon arrival discovered they don't allow after hour drop off so be sure to plan around that.
No more after hours drop box at downtown branch, not just for Hertz but other rental companies. Vandalism is the reason.
No. After hours container got stolen. You can leave car at location, lock car and return when they open next day.
Yes you can. Let them know it's a One Way!
Alyssa, we were there a year ago. You can get the car at the Airport and drop it off at the Airport. They have a Wonderful Staff there. Before you leave walk around the vehicle and check for visible damage before taking off so you are not blamed for any damages that you did not cause. We rented a Mercedes SUV and it was a wonderful choice. Happy Safe Travels!
Light rail, taxi, Uber or Lyft.
Ask the counter clerk. They are very helpful
I think you can make the change over the phone. I have never had trouble when returning within the city.
No. The buses,.lyft and Ubers are your best bet
All vehicles come equipped with Car seat anchor points. BTW, most States do not allow car seats or booster seats on the front seat. I've seen people with the car seat backwards at the front passenger seat. If the air bag deploys, it could maim or kill your child. Some people take chances. Just wanted to mention that. Be Safe. We Love Hertz!👍🏻
Yes, you need to let them know when you rent
