I was locked out for 6 hours and preparing to sleep on the lobby floor when someone finally found the 1 security guard for 4 buildings who said he never comes by my building. Now, they just announced security can no longer help with lockouts. They have no problem charging you through the nose for everything (don't worry, though, you can get a $5 gift card if you do enough tasks for them) but decide not to provide any actual services in return. Their emergency maintenance no longer responds to calls. Their security is understaffed in an area that has gotten exponentially more dangerous in the last 2 years. They offer no lockout assistance of ANY kind, so if you're stuck out in 40 degree rain at midnight, you're done for. I had so much hope for this place with an ideal location and beautiful modern amenities, but it was all too good to be true.

I love living here! the paperwork fort mfte did take longer than usual, and the staff is clearly understaffed, so I do understand low rating, which I think it should only go for the Greystar not the building review tbh. The apartment building is quite well maintained, while it has good amenities and is on spot-on location at the center of Capitol Hill.

I’ve lived here for one year and have been in tears over simple concerns multiple times due to inefficiencies. The attitude from staff and management is appalling. If you can get them on the phone, you’ll reach unhappy people that will likely make you feel stupid and annoying for wasting their time. I highly suggest each member of this team do some self reflection and remove themselves from any occupation that requires customer service or kindness in general. I can’t wait to be free from this environment. DO NOT MOVE HERE

The reviews about having a hard time contacting the office is true. It’s terrible. I called the number on Google to inquire about leasing and it goes to their answering service. I was given a direct line, left a voicemail and still no return. I’m concerned that if it’s like this normally, how do tenants get their concerns addressed in a timely manner? Other reviews stated the managers number: voicemail not set up. Update: I had to email them. (Rather than making sure someone returned my calls.) I was able to schedule for a viewing but due to the snow, we rescheduled for 12/31/21. I get there, offices look closed. I call the answering service and the confirmed the office is open. No one ever showed up. Unprofessional. I don’t know how this is ok and continues to run like this even when the manager has promised changes over the last few months based on what I’m seeing on the reviews here. I’ve noticed a lot of open apartments. Some haven’t been filled since they opened and now I see why. I hope current tenants are able to post honest reviews to help others out. There definitely needs to be some changes when they’re charging a premium. Another update: It’s been two weeks since they failed to show up for our tour. I emailed them that day. Still. No. Response. Not even a follow up with an explanation or apology. 🤦🏻♂️ I really wanted to live here too.

It could have been a very nice building, but it is run by people whose only care is to squeeze out as much money as possible from you. There is no emergency maintenance, like 1 security guard for 4 buildings, and no lockout help after hours. Would you pay $2k+/mo rent plus $300/mo parking for that?
We do have a parking garage below all three of the buildings at Capitol Hill Station Apartments.
