It's been a month since we adopted Rosmary from Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue. Our Rossy is sweet, playful, smart and obedient. At first the relationship between her and our cat was difficult but after 2 weeks they became good friends and now they even sleep next to each other! we love her so much 💕 Thank you all at Seattle Humane society! Our experiences with you all were amazing too!

I went to Seattle humane to adopt a kitten about a month ago and had the best experience. This was my first time having a cat, so I really appreciated how knowledgeable their staff was and willing to answer all my questions. Not only that, but their facility was in excellent condition and the process to adopt was very organized and simple. I walked away very happy with my now kitten Beau!

It's been 4 days since we adopted Princess Peach from Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue. We are amazed how each day Princess has become more relaxed and how much we have already fallen deeply in love with us! She will be with us until the end of time. Thank you all at Seattle Humane society! Our experiences with you all were amazing also!

Throughout the pandemic fostering kitties gave me a safe indoor hobby to do that was incredibly enriching. The foster program staff are so knowledgeable and accommodating. There was also a day I needed help from the pet resources center and a staff there, Tracy, was so kind and supportive during a tough situation. The adoption center is also wonderful, as I just celebrated my first foster fail :) if you have the time/transportation to foster I highly recommend it!

I posted some dog pictures on google maps for the eastgate location.
You have to email them and apply on their page
The dogs are coming from Houston Pets Alive. My two foster puppies left this morning to go up there. You can look on their website but I'm not sure if it will show them still or which ones went up.
I advise you to contact any animal shelter from Texas to see if they would allow you to foster one of their dogs and perhaps you guys might fall in love with each other and you will give him/her a forever home.
We have adopted two Holland lop' s from a woman we found on Craig's list in Yakima. Both have been healthy and she was very informative. I won't post her info without her permission, but you may want to check to see if she is still posting there.
Contact one of the shelters from Texas and perhaps you might fall in love with each other and you will allow this baby to join your current babies for good.
The only advice I can give you is that you go to this location in person and ask somebody from the reception desk if they can give you an alternative number where they would answer you or explain to them what you need when you are inside the shelter. Perhaps they will answer all your questions once and for all.

Yes, you can view all adoptable dogs (not in foster homes) at the shelter in person. They have a book with foster dogs on site.
If the cat is properly fed and watered and litter box is cleaned every day I wouldn't worry. If the owner passes then the cat should be rehomed.
As far as I know they are open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. except on holidays when they close the shelter for adoptions. But I would suggest that you call or go to the shelter in person to find out for sure.
No, sorry. They are mainly staying on the east coast
Yes! They accept donations like that.
Yes , I believe you can . Big place biggest one in Seattle .nice and friendly people . I actually worked for two days from temp agency .anyhow they would love it for you to sew something for the animal shelter ...
I just adopted a dog from here on Saturday and he came from somewhere in Texas.
As far as I know, all of these institutions accept donations of old blankets, dog beds and various other items such as used cat carriers and used food bowls as long as they can be wahshed and disinfected and as long as the animal didn't die of a very dangerous and highly contagious disease such as hepatitis or worse yet, parvo virus. I know all of these because I am a laundry volunteer at Pasadena Humane Society here in California. I hope this helps you in some way. Good luck and I am very sorry about the fact that your baby passed away.
Go straight to this facility's reception desk and explain to them what is going on. Don't forget to give them your neighbor's address. They might ask you to write a report and give it to them right away. Afterword they will send a letter to your neighbor asking them to keep their dog in doors perhaps. If the problem doesn't stop within approximately two weeks you can go back to this place and write another report and the process will continue until they receive a third and final letter from this facility's administration's office letting them know that an officer will go to their house and take the dog from them right after they have been summoned to attend an administrative meeting with the department of mediation and resolutions if I am not mistaking. Then perhaps their dog might be euthanized because he will be deemed unadoptable and a danger to society.
Give them a call, the staff are very helpful
Thank u so much!
As a general rule, these institutions accept all sorts of donated items so I am pretty sure they will take your crates and use them for foster care or for the mobile adoptions if you take them to this facility.
Yes they do spay/neutering the price I don't know. But I do remember seeing that it was low cost and if you found your pet on the street they will do it for free
My mother and I are experiencing the exact same problem with our standard poodle Emerald whom we adopted from Pasadena Humane Society two weeks after our French poodle Sticker was run over. Due to the fact that she belonged to a homeless man who ended up in the hospital for only god knows why she ended up at the shelter and when we adopted her nine months ago she used to bite our fingers when we tried to clean her butt with baby wipes but we persisted on doing so and now she is used to it. What you can do is give her a treat or something that you know she likes so that you can earn her love and her trust. Or perhaps you can take her to the veterinarian so that he can prescribe something that will calm her such as ritalin. Sometimes she stil bites us for no apparent reason but we spray cold water on her face with a spray bottle and she leaves us alone. This behavior won't last forever she will eventually get used to your ministrations and lick your fingers just as our Emerald is doing.
I am pretty certain that they would neuter your dog because these institutions spay and neuter all animals regardless of their breeds, sizes and personalities. They operate in exactly the same way as they would at any veterinarian's office or animal hospital.
Yes, Seattle Humane is open for pet adoption from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Go to this facility in person and ask for an application to volunteer. Fill it out, turn it in and they should tell you when you have to go to the orientation inside the shelter. Good luck!
Go to this facility in person and ask to speak to one of the officers if possible. Give them the address of where the poor dogs are crated or call the human services line at 211 to see if they can help you report this problem. You can also call the directory assistence at 411 and ask them if they have any phone numbers where you can report animal cuelty. But they should be able to pick them up at this facility and give them up for adoption. I hope this helps. Pray to god for guidance and hope for the best.
About $20 a cat i do believe
They have dogs of all shapes and sizes. Definitely worth going to take a look at what they have. They are always receiving more rescues. So it's worth going several times.
You can view and visit animals during ALL open hours. Quick Google search shows Monday 11a-6p Tuesday 11a-6p Wednesday 11a-6p Thursday 11a-8p Friday 11a-8p Saturday 11a-8p Sunday 11a-6p
There are volunteer opportunities. Contact the shelter by phone during business hours for more information.
Call the Humane Society. Usually its a phone call, plus an in person interview.
Call them.
I have no clue to tell you the hard truth but I strongly suggest that you find out by going to this facility in person, call them or visit their website for more information. Good luck!
They have quite a few pit bulls every time I've been there, I want one so bad
I strongly suggest that you use a piece of something he likes to eat such as a slice of tuna or some cat nip if possible because this drives them crazy. A small treat or a slice of sardine might also help lure him in to the crate. I hope that these ideas work. Good luck to you!
Please be sure to check out the Seattle animal shelter as well as Craigslist pet section. I have also seen local buynothing groups and neighborhood groups allow to post there searching for lost furry loved ones
I am not sure if these babies are stil available but it wouldn't hurt to call them at the number they have here, to go directly to this location and take a tour of the kennel area or to check their website for more information. If in fact they are no longer available because somebody else has already adopted them you can always adopt somebody else and give him/her a forever home. I sincerely hope that you find the baby of your dreams very soon. Good luck to you!
I surmise you can. Call the directory assistence at 411 and ask them to give you the phone number of one of the shelters in Texas to see if they need help with this chore.
I'm not sure what dogs they have available today. But they often do have labs. They open every day at noon to go meet all the animals. Or you can keep checking the website to see who's there. But some aren't listed there right away. Better to go in and see!
Puppies under 6 months old are $450
Yes, there is an area designated for donations to be dropped off on the side of the building.
Hi Tony! Sorry, we are not able to take donations of infant formula at the shelter.
Depending on how much that worries you And relationship between you and your neighbor my neighbor watched my son's dog While we worked And if she didn't have time to watch Luna the whole time she at least came and let her go to the bathroom because we live on a second floor also and I Would leave balcony door open for her but you know as far as she being out there that's all right it's well finished stop I don't think she can hurt herself...I hope this is very helpful for you
Depending on where you live, you would take a stray cat to either Seattle Animal Shelter or contact Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC).
They do but only on a case by case basis. There's a form on their website that can be filled out and submitted and they will respond. If they cannot take the animal, I believe they will connect you with behavior/training options, vet care, and/or the local open admission shelter (meaning a shelter that is contracted to take in owner surrenders for the area). I believe the local open admission shelter is RASKC (Regional Animal Services of King County) in Kent.
Yes im sure animals of all ages would would use cage comforters to make them feel a little better in the cages
You go to the website for Seattle Humane. They have a volunteer tab and you can get all the information there
I would donate it .there might be dogs there that that will need that kind of dog food .
Hello Jesse, We don't have a mobile vet clinic scheduled for Jan. 6. Maybe another shelter or rescue? Thank you for checking!
Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire after checking our adoptions page and deciding which pets you are interested in adopting. We are asking people not to call about pets, as our adoptions team is currently handling a high volume of inquiries. We are not facilitating meetings with pets, and we continue to offer adoptions and services via curbside pick-up and drop-off. Thank you!
We have already started posting profiles of our Hawaii dogs on our adoptions page. Check back periodically here: https://www.seattlehumane.org/adoption/dogs/.
Bellevue is considered Seattle surrounding area. Zip code is Bellevue Zip.
https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/regional-animal-services/special-programs/spay-neuter.aspx
Yes they do
Check the listing of available cats and kittens. Many of them are only 1 yr old. https://www.seattlehumane.org/pets/cats/ The facility is across from the T-Mobile HQ and is probably the best shelter I have seen.
As a general rule, these institutions have dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities. Go take a tour of the kennel area and when you find the dog you are interested in adopting write down the animal ID number, take a picture or record a video of him if possible. Take this information to the reception desk, fill out the paperwork and pay the adoption fee. When he/she iis sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and licensed you will be allowed to take him/her home with you.
It is possible that they would do their utmost to find your friend's baby a temporary home. Call them at the number they have here go to this facility in person and speak to someone from the reception desk or check their website for more information. Good luck!
Yeah they love visitors
Check this out https://www.seattlehumane.org/get-involved/volunteering/
Hi Bianca, we can help. Learn about our spay and neuter services here: https://www.seattlehumane.org/services/spay-neuter/
Yes, they do but they usually get adopted really fast. So check on their website and go to adoptions as soon as they open whenever they have them for your best chance on getting one.
They used to have critters like rabbits, mice and guinea pigs but since they moved to the new shelter they haven't had any yet.
Donating to the humane society is very simple. You go to the facility in person and drop off whatever you want to give them such as blankets, towels, newspaper, used dog beds, cat carrier, food bols or money to named just a few.
Puppies run around $250 or $275 I believe.
SH is a wonderful shelter, and sure the team of volunteers there will be happy to find him a loving home. I'm so sorry that you have to give him up though.
Seattle humane society.. in Bellevue pissible.. three vets i know of does that also
Not that I am aware of
All animals are vaccinated, neuter/spay, and micro chipped. Here are the fees as of now (5.5.2018, they sometimes adjust slightly), but keep in mind they constantly have sales i.e. -$50 all pets, or half off dogs etc. Puppies under 6 months $350 Dogs 6+ months and over 25 lbsDogs $199 Dogs 6+ months and under 25 lbs $276 Cat Adoption Fees 1 year+ $25 Two adult cats $40 Kittens under 6 months $125 Two kittensKittens 6 months - 1 year $200 Cats 6 months - 1 year $80 Critter Adoption Fees Rabbits $45 Guinea Pigs $15 Rats, Mice, Gerbils & Hamsters $5-10
There are usually a lot of kittens later in Spring but check the website for adoptable cats and kittens. Also there are some super sweet young cats that may not be exactly kitten age but just as lovable and adorable
Their website says they do but you can't be present. Their prices are comparable to what I have paid vets in past. Please consider that option so you can be with your dog rather than them being afraid.
No
Website has list of available pets.
If your talking about the project helping people with HIV/AIDS or cancer then yes, they do have pet project :)
If you get a pet from them, I know they do. I believe they will also do this for you if you bring your pet in (not adopted from them).
Yes
I would suggest that you either keep the kitty for yourself or take her to the shelter in person and surrender her. You might have to pay a fee for leaving her there, ask the person at the front counter how much.
If I were you I would not get rid of my baby simply because I am going on vacation for one short month. I would enlist the help of a friend or a family member, or I would search in the area for an inexpensive bording kennel. A dog is a family member not an old pare of shoes that you can give away just because you are going on a short trip. You can just take him to the shelter and drop him off but you are stil going to have to pay a fee. Have you thought about how deeply you will hurt his feelings if you just discard him like an old garment that you no longer want? Have some compassion for him, don't just think of yourself.
In a few days from august 31, they will be available... they will be getting some medical checkups first ! And behaviour assessments too, so if you want a chill dog, they will be able to tell you.
I suggest that you contact one of the shelters from Texas to see which one needs help fostering someone.
Go talk to the adoption specialists at Seattle Humane. They will help you find the right dog.
