As far as I know, all of these institutions accept donations of old blankets, dog beds and various other items such as used cat carriers and used food bowls as long as they can be wahshed and disinfected and as long as the animal didn't die of a very dangerous and highly contagious disease such as hepatitis or worse yet, parvo virus. I know all of these because I am a laundry volunteer at Pasadena Humane Society here in California. I hope this helps you in some way. I believe they do if it's washed or washable or obviously unopened.
