*** Updated 7/22: I was VERY disappointed when the management at Paceline went to Avenue5. A lot of things changed; namely, communication, personable management, and the ability to get ahold of anyone. When I moved out (6/22), I was tipped off to watch out for their move-out fees and, sure enough, I would have been overcharged if I hadn’t fought back. I noticed other properties managed by Avenue5 seem to have similar complaints among tenants on Google reviews, so I would avoid renting with them anywhere (personally). ***Original 5-star post (from 11/21, under previous management, Edison47): I moved to the Seattle area a few months ago and have been so happy at Paceline; they deserve my time to write a five-star review. - Management team is efficient, caring and personable. David, Sara and Brittney (spelling?) even know me by name, which I find pretty incredible for a larger complex like this. - Maintenance team is responsive, friendly and hard-working. Juan and Angel helped with some small things in my apartment when I first moved in and I always receive a "hello" whenever I see them around the complex. - Residents are friendly and I personally love the diversity of our community (in ethnicity, age, families/singles, pets, working/stay-at-home, etc.). People actually say hi in the elevator, hold the door for you and generally share a sense of community. - Shared spaces and amenities (gym, lounges, dog run, coffee machine) are actually used, which I think adds to that community feel. There have been some issues with residents not cleaning up after themselves, but the management team is great at communicating concerns and friendly reminders to all when that comes up. - Parking is the one down side to living here (which has been mentioned in other reviews). I've chosen to not pay the additional monthly fee for indoor parking and while I sometimes have issues finding a "public" spot nearby, I always find something and am making it work just fine. All-in-all, I have had a great experience living here - and clearly many others have too, based on their reviews!

I had a tour scheduled for 2 pm today. Been sitting In the lobby for about 30 minutes now. You guys even e mailed me to confirm that I was going to be here today last night and I confirmed. Nobody is here, offices are closed, the number you guys provided goes straight to voicemail. So glad I wasted time on my Saturday to sit in a lobby and get stood up. Not cool at all paceline. I will be renting somewhere else now.

Enjoyed the apartment when staying there for the most part but terrible management. Car was broken into in the secured garage while I was living there and not much was done about it in general. Also, at move out, the apartment complex definitely employs predatory tactics in regards to trying to get money from you once you are no longer a resident. After getting confirmation that our move out was successful, a few months later we were charged over $1,000 for them to repaint the apartment. After trying to keep an open email thread, the management decided to stop responding and send the matter to collections. Unless the apartment gets new management, I can't suggest staying here.

I had a tour scheduled for 2pm and no one was in the office. Good thing a nice resident let us in or else we would have been stuck in the freezing cold. While in the office I called just to see what would happen. I called and didn’t hear a single phone ring. Not too sure why the phones aren’t ringing when it’s during their office hours ! Not a single sign was placed letting tenants or prospective tenants know that the staff would be out of the office. To make matters worse I drove 1 hour just to be stood up. I waited 30+ minutes to see if anyone would come and no one showed up. This is completely unprofessional and no way to run a company. #DoBetter
