Great local store to buy running shoes. I'm not much of a runner. I do it but I'd say my running form is close that of a three legged pregnant rhinoceros. That being said these guys were great to work with and helped me find exactly what I needed in the size I needed! Some stores can give off an elitist vibe- catering only to those who are 'real runners' and qualify for the Olympics. I never got that attitude from my interactions here. These guys were very down to earth and were great to work with. Parking can be annoying but it's Green Lake so that's to be expected!

I just got home after a really terrible experience with Bruce (the older gentleman). I walked in today with a couple of model recommendations from my PT, really excited to get a pair of new shoes. It's been at least 4 years since I bought new walking/running shoes, and I am desperately in need of a new pair. I have wide feet and a high arch, and because of this I know that not every shoe will fit me, and that I need wide models. I've never had an issue buying shoes before, but Bruce had an attitude from the beginning and it only got worse. The way he talked about and regarded my feet made me feel as though I was this huge-footed freak, and he kept saying "I only have so many tools at my disposal." I was like "uhhhh, what?" He wasn't helpful, or friendly, nor did he act like he really wanted to help me. And look, I get it -- if I need to go somewhere else, so be it, but he could've communicated that in a totally different way and I would've walked out of there feeling a lot better. Lastly, when I asked him about stores that carry more wide models, he proceeded to recommend a store in *Renton.* I was like "well, I live in Seattle, so is there anywhere *closer* I can go?" It was like pulling teeth. That guy needs to go.

I honestly can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my time in the store and about how great the staff was! One employee in particular, Carl, was especially helpful during my search for a light to use while running. I didn’t know how to even compare the different lights that they had, and he helped me to go over the options and to pro/con everything that they had on the shelves. I felt like he actually listened to what I was looking for, helped me to make a decision, and kept my budget in mind. I also needed something for chafing and he recommended a brand that I had never heard of before. I used it right after, doing two laps around Green Lake without any sign of chafing. This was such a game changer and honestly improved the quality of my run, I couldn’t be more thankful for Carl’s help!

Always a great time at Super Jock 'n Jill! We went for a fitting for the kiddo. She wears youth sizes that are hard to find right now. But adult women's shoes overlap sizing. With the help of one of the amazing staff, we found shoes that look great, fit great, and that the kiddo loves. I love this place for the high level of service you just don't find anywhere else.
