Hip replacement by the Orthopedic team is great! Probably 50 people helped me in this 27 hour process from checkin to getting the car to go home. A shoutout to Dr McDonald and his team,, and the hospital staff who saw me come and go. Things that have impressed me. Walking 5 hours after surgery down to the PT room to review how to get in the car and walk upstairs, the nursing staff, and the GetWell app which I used pre and post op (they checkin everyday and I can ask questions and upload photos). A positive experience.

Virginia Mason is clearly suffering with hospitality, safety, and attention to detail. The amount of money they are spending on sponsorships with local sports teams should be spent on hiring extra staff and improving their standard operating procedures. Talked to a nurse on the phone about the coughing respiratory issues I was having and she said I needed to be seen that day but there were no appointments. Went to the urgent care who told me to go to the ER. Went to the ER and waited for six hours and was never seen. Virginia Mason would not make a doctors appointment with me until I was seen in the ER. I ended up switching to the Polyclinic where I was diagnosed with Whopping Cough after my first visit. They cared for me more in 20 minutes than Virginia Mason did for 48 hours. Also, separately went to a doctor for a rolled ankle. After X-rays was told it was sprained. Wasn’t getting better so I went to the polyclinic for a second opinion and turns out my ankle is fractured. Because of the oversight of Virginia Mason with two different things, I am having months more recovery than I originally could have had. I refuse to go to them every again or trust the medical opinion of anyone that works there.

My cancer team at VM Buck Pavillion are living, breathing super heroes! I live 3 hours West and they go out of their way too schedule everything on the same day, and the convenience of going from one test to the next via an elevator is wonderful! I've had regular appointments since 2017 and my oncology pod saved my life, thru micro surgery and excellence in care. The 24 hr room service, (they'll make whatever you want) is unlike any hospital system I've experienced, it's delicious! I would recommend this hospital system to my kids and my Mother. I can't say enough nice things.

I want to thank the nurses and doctors in the ICU for saving my life I was out on a ventilator for 3+ weeks I had covid and was airlifted from Providence hospital in Centralia. Your team kept me alive and wish I could personally thank you all. I'm home now after 39 days and very emotional and thankful for All of you. It has definitely made me think about life in a different way.

Good advice
Call the hospital given number and ask them directly. They will tell you.
Virginia Mason Inn. This hotel is connected to the hospital.
Not unless you're already a patient at V. M. and have a primary doctor. You could take him to the ER but not sure he would make his cruise. With him being unconscious I would make sure and tell them that hoping they wouldn't want to keep him for observation. Sounds serious. Can his cruise wait?
why was this sent to me?
You'd have to talk to someone in admin, because employee parking is assigned parking.
I assisted a friend who had Pace Maker heart surgery recently. Everything concerning this procedure from start to finish was excellent. Glad to hear you're experience was favorable as well.
Shawna I was there last year through Centers of Excellence. They are amazing! You have your own "guide/helper" while you are there who you can go to for anything. I have to probably go back this year and actually am excited to be there again because of the excellent service and knowledge.
Email on my Virginia Mason
Yes, but I would suggest going to a different hospital instead of this one I didn't have a good luck here.
The ER is usually very busy. It's best to go only in real emergencies. It's not for checkups.
Please call us at (206) 223-6600. Thank you.
Good news, there is plenty of parking available in the parking garage. Bad news, you pay to park. There are five different parking locations so he sure to call ahead and find out the best one for you. Virginia Mason is a pretty huge building and you'll be glad you called. 🤗
No they use Cerner
Hi Ken, I would seek guideance from the hospital staff. I'd imagine they get asked this question alot and would be able to give you the best advice. You can also use Google. God bless your stay here with good success.
Yes there are, however, if the person you are visiting is a close relative or significant other, you are welcome to spend the night on the recliner. Visiting hours are usually from 9am to 9pm every night.
Probably the closest area for parking an RV to Virginia Mason Hospital could be in or around Georgetown Barb's. I'd suggest you call an RV Campground and ask them for some guideance. Best wishes to you and yours.
Hahaha, that's a good one Manny! I'll betcha that has happened at least once.
The baroness hotel, near Virginia Mason, is a common place to stay. I'm not sure but you may also get a discount if you're a patient /family. I'd check with the hotel when registering
I believe you can call the main hospital number and they can transfer you to the right person.
There is also the valet parking in front of Buck Pavillion also, but it depends where they are coming from. That entrance is located on spring. I would call the surgery department and ask which location would be most convenient to your loved one. Wishing them a speedy recovery!
I can only tell you that everyone there was very helpful to me and my daughter while I was there. I would recommend them to anyone.
Not sure what your asking about. Hotel rooms? Car rental? Be more specific please.
Hi, you might want to direct your question to the hospital. Here on Google maps, I think you'll find answers from reviewers who have frequented this place.
Check out with the Hospital management and the department doing the surgery. They have more experience with these situations.
Yes there is. If you have a hard time finding it front desk will tell you exactly how to get there.
You could ask the administration. Otherwise with the country or state registry
It depends on your problems if it is an emergency that risks your life asap but if it is not a life threatening than maybe 45 min to a couple off hours
You should go to UC Davis in California instead This hospital is no good
David Kieras. My husband has had six surgeries with him and he is wonderful.
Social services, fisher house, if hes a veteran there are a lot of programs for that as well.
Call the main office number. Google it.
I would say a counselor or psychiatrist. Group therapy works good too for some people.
Yes

Most appointments are right on.Only really long wait is in the eye department in my experience.
My transplant surgeon was very late when he arranged to see me and all the support staff act like they are holier than though. They hold it over your head that they're the ones that are going to decide whether or not you going to get a transplant.
