I love my individual doctor in Internal Medicine at PacMed, Dr. Alexander Park. Yet, as a health organization, PacMed is disorganized, understaffed, and their facilities are depressing. Trying to get in touch with any physician or physician’s office is next to impossible. Switchboard waits are often way over an hour. Staff routinely do not read a patient’s chart and make a plethora of errors, screwing up prescriptions and appointments. I have dealt with medical facilities most of my adult life, my wife has been in medical administration for over 40 years. We both agree PacMed is useless, but again my physician, Alexander Park is fantastic. I am 72 years old and have Rheumatoid Arthritis, an autoimmune disease. I tested positive for Covid yesterday and need advice and direction. I waited over an hour and a half on the phone, and all the switchboard could tell me is go to the ER. Are you kidding me? That’s incompetence of the highest degree. I realize it’s difficult keeping and hiring staff, but pay more, and that difficulty will fade away. Medicine shouldn’t always be about profit, but that’s where we have landed in the 21st Century, and it’s worse in Seattle than any other major city in the United States.

I set up auto pay and been told it will end right after that bill, but it never stopped. I continue payed for a year. And I payed $800+ more than what I need to!!!! Your bill system is terrible! I don't know how can I trust you again, will try to switch to another hospital.

During one of the most challenging times in my life I was met with unprofessionalism, malpractice and dismissive care. My current doctor whom I have been a patient with for 1.5 years is on vacation during the covid pandemic while we are relocating to a state that is not accepting new patients. I have now been set up with 2 different zoom meetings and each one has been cut short/cancelled due to being a new patient for the first time and not seeing my normal doctor. I am simply trying to get refills on prescriptions I have been on for 10+ years. They have the ability to view all of my medical records. I am currently in WA but only for a few more days which is why there is urgency. I cannot believe that during these time when a patient asks for options I am met with dead ends. I couldn’t be more upset with how my care has been handled these last couple years. As a patient of Dr. Beck’s I warn all to be prepared for rescheduling and vacations. There is no proper or compliant backup option for when she is out. As doctors you need to do better for your patients, we come to you for help, things we do not understand and look for guidance. When we are met with doctors unwilling to assist it is unsettling for the hope of our healthcare industry. Thankfully I will no longer be in this state, or under this corrupt care. I warn all patients looking to join this practice, keep looking.

I have been going to Dr. Becke for 7 years and her care has been great. Just recently, I am very disappointed and frustrated that the clinic/organization failed 3 opportunities to inform me about their clinic/provider not taking the plan that I have had over the last 5 year: 1) from scheduling the appointment, 2.)checking in on the day of exam, 3.) calling the billing office after I have received the Explanation of benefit. I called three times and talked with the Billing department staff, and the clinic manager about why my annual physical exam and flu vaccine were not cover. They were not aware that their organization chose not taking the Premera plan that I have had to see Dr. Becke for 5 years. A preventive service should have been fully covered, unfortunately, due to PacMed organization failed to inform their loyal patient and lack of training the staff in the insurance knowledge, I have to pay the bill in full. The clinic manager has agreed to write off part of it, but it is still couple hundred dollars left for me to pay. I really wish that the organization can do better job in communicating with their patients about their contract changed with insurance company, therefore no one will need to experience what I have.
