Glad we went, the staff were friendly, but it feels a bit expensive ($35) for a self-guided tour. Seems like $20-$25 would be more appropriate. The size and textures of many of the exhibits are impressive. Also, for the video part of the tour it would be nice if they had a visual countdown on the screen until the next video starts. Expect crowds (we went on a Tuesday around noon) and guests not paying attention to their surroundings while taking photos.

The Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit is one of my favorites that I have seen anywhere. As a painter and photographer I have an enormous amount of appreciation for art forms but glass blowing is probably the most awe inspiring to me. The exhibit is so colorful and vibrant that it is even more mesmerizing around every corner. The lighting in the exhibit is top notch and the places the shadows exist compliment these pieces perfectly. They have a live glass blowing area that is cool to see as I never had before walking through this exhibit. I highly recommend this is you love art and colors, which this place blends perfectly right under the Space Needle!!

This is an interesting place to visit, especially if you are artistically inclined. There are beautiful glass pieces, crafted with hard work, immense architectural skills and creativity. Mind boggling and impressive structures. There is a person waiting near each art work, to answer any questions that you may have about the pieces. There's a theater with short videos about the artist himself and how he created various pieces in other countries and held exhibitions. There's a little garden where some more of the glass pieces are installed throughout nature. We were also lucky to catch a live demonstration of the glass blowing process in an outdoor space near the garden. A beautiful view of the Space Needle also as the glass museum is located right next to it.

This place was amazing. It is definitely a must visit place for anyone. It’s right next to the Needle. The glass art is so incredibly well done, you might find yourself forgetting it’s glass you are looking at. The beautiful arrangements inside look stunning, and the outdoor sets fit together so well. When we went, they did a demonstration where they made a glass vase. It was amazing to watch 2 very talented people make something that we could never imagine making like it’s child’s play. The 2 of them did an excellent job explaining how these glass sculptures are made. Overall, an amazing, must visit place in Seattle.

No, Chihuly doesn't do First Thursday. No free ride.
Entry and save money on combo
Not at the museum, there is a cafe place next to it or a big food court in the back of the building
Gum wall, pike place, the original starbucks, lake Washington, Daniel's broiler, beechers, also one of the piers is nice
It's just a fallback i think. It really doesnt matter when you walk in or out.
Hour tops. But the Museum of Pop Culture, Space Needle & Science Centre are all nearby. If you're visiting Seattle, try to give yourself enough time to see them all.
I was just there a week ago (Friday) and didn't need to pick a time. I did buy the Space Needle/Chihuly Garden combo pass. The space needle required a time but only due to elevator capacity. We went to the glass garden when we were ready and just went in with no problem.
I recommend checking the website for hours &to see if you need reservations. Mist of the museum a too walk-ins but only up to limits after reservation people. Hopefully August will be better.
Per their Website, and there are space needle combo packages CHIHULY GARDEN & GLASS GENERAL ADMISSION Exhibition, Glasshouse, and Garden Regular (ages 13-64) $32 Senior (ages 65+) $27 Youth (ages 5-12) $19 WA State Adult $27
You're better off buying a package deal through the kiosk in front of the needle
I'm sure for the right price you can do whatever you want. But considering it's not a free gallery it's probably gonna cost you
Valet parking only on site. Plenty of street parking or private lots 2-4 blocks away.
Yes
I'm pretty sure they will let you. Your just going to need to pay the entrance fee. It's a nice place to take pictures for sure.
I got the seattle citypass you pay one price saves you money lets you get into 5 tourist attractions. Including the chihuly.
I'm not sure but I would call them.
Yep 65+ !! Also a discount ticket if You buy admission to the Chihuly and the Space Needle at the same time !!
I called the store # and got an answer. I will send the shirt with the original receipt and they will exchange the t-shirt for me. No shipping and handling cost to me! I look forward to wearing my t-shirt from the Chihuly Garden and Glass soon. Thanks for the help!
Best if you are on your time start of 2;00. Entry is timed o control how many peole are in the galleries at any given time. Inside is mostly dark with pieces lit. Much more enjoyable when crowds are measured and smaller. We had a 1;00 time and were early but allowed in. It depends on how many are there but if crowded you will be best to be close to your time.
Chihuly is a good place to visit, the tour takes you calmly 1h. Nearby is the art museum and the iconic tower of Seattle. In my opinion it's worth it but it depends on your interests
Got his MFA at university of Wisconsin Madison where he started doing glass
For the more expensive city pass, yes. But for garden only or space needle & garden, no.
There was a kiosk onsite. And you may have been emailed a link?
Upload using Google photos
57 combined with space needle but need to be used within 24 hours
Try their website. You can check at the same time if it is open.
It's definitely worth seeing, I'd call and look at their website. It's located right next to the tall needle Observation Tower
Only service animals
I doubt it would be open on a major US holiday, but call just in case. Don't leave Seattle till you see Chihuly glass. It's so worth seeing. Also watch the videos they have, chihuly explains how color process works and designs are made. So worth watching all the videos they offer!!!
Regular (ages 13-64) $32 / $22 Senior (ages 65+) $27 / $19 Youth (ages 5-12) $19 / $14 Cheaper price if u go after 4

The Seattle city pass for 5 attractions is valid for multiple days.
You can buy in any included attraction once you arrive un tour destination city. But for me, the best option is buy online on www.citypass.com Regards
Most places aren't open on that day so I would assume not.
We bought tickets from the kiosk outside of Chihuly garden. They are single admission tickets to be used on the same day.
I did see a dog there but believe he was a service dog
Yeah
Yes it does
Regular (ages 13-64) $32 / $22 Senior (ages 65+) $27 / $19 Youth (ages 5-12) $19 / $14 Cheaper if you go after 4
call the museum for information
I'm not sure, maybe Google it to see.
Various days and times throughout the week. Best to call & find out the day you plan to visit. This is what they say online about the live glass blowing. "Get up close to the wonders of glass at the Flameworking Studio. Local artists will provide guests with a look at the properties of glass through live demonstrations of flameworking, which is the art of melting and shaping glass using a torch, flame and tools. Guests can experience the specially designed Flameworking Studio in the Art Plaza at Chihuly Garden and Glass. The artists, who are experts in their field, will also be available to answer questions about glass, its properties, and the process."
Google Maps would be your best resource
I agree with the Hour and a half. Some works you just need to stand or sit there awhile to absorb. There is also an excellent gift shop to prowl.

Yes there are parking lots close by and you have to pay to park in them.
Look up online. You can even call them.
Open 7 days a week, 8:30am to 9pm.
Yes, but with close monitoring. There are exquisite glass pieces within arm's reach of small children and platforms tempting to sit on.
A lot, and very carfully.. I have heard that they are disassembled and then washed and then put back together again.
There are multiple paid parking around Seattle Center. There is one opposit to Chihuly Garden across the road.
I am sure there is one in the seattle center area
Take two full hours and enjoy all of the wonderful creations. My wife and mother in law dragged me to go and I was amazed and awed by the beauty of these magnificent works of art. I think we were there a little longer than 2 hours, but we took a lot of pics. 😉 Enjoy
No they still charge every day that they are opened
Usually it's close, but call and confirm.
Try checking your spam folder. Mine showed up there.
The demo was a basis glass blowing session showing how colored glass at high temps is shaped. Very colorful. Great curves and designs.
Yes, both inside and out in the gardens. Hours may change a little if there is an event shceduled but it is still open.
They are open all year around
You can go to citypass/seattle for all the linked up attractions to save $
There is only public parking, withing walking distamce, but not right next to the garden.
Easiest would be to Uber there. The gardens are right next to the space needle and there is a valet drop off area right there in front. The Chihuly garden is in Seattle.
It depends on both time of visit as well as your age group you belong. General admission would be $29.
