We took a family group on a Seattle Asian Adventure, starting in Chinatown for dim sum, before heading to the Asian Art Museum. I allowed three hours. We all agreed that too little time at the museum was the biggest fault in my adventure plan. We added a run-through of the Volunteer Park Greenhouse, yet another not-to-be-missed site.

I didn't go to the Asian Museum. Instead spent time at Volunteer Park which is also the location of the museum. The museum has kept the original outside facade that was designed in art deco style. The park dates back to the early 1900s and the Conservatory has been in use since that time period. This is where on a rainy day one gets to experience many unique plants from different climates such as tropical. The view of the city from the reservoir is fantastic!

Beautiful collection. Stunning bodhisattvas hundreds of years old. Really well presented and lit. Interesting ceramics and other artworks too. Set in lovely park. But far out had to get taxi. Definitely recommended.

Lovely location with free parking and natural light spots in museum. Serene interior and well spaced displays, spanning ancient to modern, inclusive of different types of installations - paintings, sculptures, artifacts, clothing, and more. Some contemplative areas. Would definitely visit again when back in the area. Very cute gift shop. Friendly staff.

This is not a restaurant.
I'm sorry about this since I'm taking the bus with a group from Tacoma and will need to walk to the nearest restaurant - which is not that near?
Wasn't bad. Ample parking near the museum even on open house.
