Huge park! Been going here since I was a kid! One of my favorites to bring my kiddos to!

Always beautiful to explore, any time of year, and enjoy the changing seasons.

Except for the Wilbur May Aeboretum Trails, dogs can be walked on all the others.
Yes start from the south and head towards N. McCarran blvd. You will come to a tunnel with beautiful art work that connects the south to the north part of the park.
No, nothing close by. It's a large park for day use only.
On the west side where playground is, yes...at least they where there when we used them last fall!
Within hieght restrictions set by Reno/Tahoe International Airport. May wanna check thier web page. I believe they change frequently.
Rancho San Raffael (RSR) is not a Dinosaur park. There is no fee for the RSR park.
There's a pond there that's very picturesque -- truck access might take special permission but I'm pretty sure the landscapers get in and out so you probly could too.
If you go in the south arboretum entrance (faces San Rafael drive) take the 2nd right and then take a left about 20 feet down the path (there's a covered bridge) and then you're there
Art town is using the park this month
Beverly Kindness: What is your question?
They are in a few different places. Wilbur May Museum to name one
I'm not sure. Sorry. But I do hope they do also. Love them.
I believe so. There were signs regarding fishing up, and a gent was posted up with three rods, last I was there!
Yes it is very safe to walk around in the park during the evening. Just remember during the winter the gates close early and park staff might ask you to leave if they see you in the main park after hours. During the summer it is a really nice place to walk around since it'll be nice and cool out and during that time park hours are extended
There are two play grounds in Rancho San Rafael park, one of them is inside Wilbur D May. But, there is no skate park.
To the left of the museum. You have to walk around the back of the building to find it.
it costs nothing
You have to contact a balloon pilot and sponsor their balloon when The Great Reno Balloon Race event is active, which takes place in September. You can find the website here for more info: https://renoballoon.com/event-info/schedule-of-events/
No, however that doesn't mean that San Rafael could have an event with horses to ride
I know they let large groups of family use the gazebo areas for the day so you should be able to have a wedding. Do you have a photographer yet?
I there is all ready recycling bins there
Flat to small changes in grade at the front of the park. Hilly at the back of the park
With the balloon races going on until mid-day tomorrow there is no parking usually though there is ample parking available
Yes west side especially. Some area's are no pups allowed but plenty of space for your dog to roam. Have a picnic if you like. Leashes are required except the big dog park run area. Dogs are off leashes over there.
It's free. There's alot of hiking trails, disc golf course, there is a baseball field but closed to the public. Also there is a water specit and a Sani Hut.
No overnight parking in the park is not allowed
Nothing yet announced.
Yes. Pets are allowed, they have a specific pet park within rancho san Rafael.
I'm not sure. I expect Lineth Trujillo and David Moser are correct.
Disc golfing in two parks that I am aware of. 1. Rancho San Rafael Sports Complex by Basque Monument and 2. Sun Valley Regional Park.
It's just a big dog park out there. Not separated into small medium and large breeds. There is quite a bit of room to keep your small dog away from the bigger dogs. And most people with bigger dogs. Respect smaller dog owners
