They have a 1.5 hr tour a few times a day, but you can do a self paced tour in about 2 hrs. I also recommend the holographic theater show.
It's $15 which includes everything. The website says, nobody is refused entrance, if you are unable to pay the admission fee.
Given them a call to get the answer
The museum will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. The hours are 10-5
The Last Goodbye - virtual experience is on now. Last day is 1/31/19. It is included in the general admission price. Reserving a spot is recommended. That can be done online.
2022: Last Friday of the month is free. First weekend of the month is free if you have a Bank of America account. All ticket prices are inclusive - no extra add-on$ for special exhibits.
Hi Jeri, Tickets must be purchased online before your arrival at the Museum: http://ihm.ec/tickets If you need help buying tickets, please feel free to give us a call at 847-967-4800. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
As stated, free on the 10th of each month for the 10 year anniversary. I also went on August 10th, though, and a significant portion of the museum was under construction. I would recommend calling ahead to see if it is completed before going. I took my parents, and they had to miss out on quite a bit of the experience. Also, totally recommend grabbing food at Kaufmann's and making a whole outing of it!
I do not remember personally. Out of respect, my wife and I left drinks and food in the car. I would ask if you have a medical condition that requires call constant hydration. Everyone was very logical and customer service driven at the Museum.
Passover was Friday. Check to make sure they are open by calling them
Yes....there are special prices for seniors
There's a few spots to sit and eat your own sandwich. I don't remember seeing a cafe but that doesn't mean that there could be one in there..
Best to check their website or called the museum directly!
Best to check with HMEC directly. This site is for Google Maps. Best of luck to you!
10am-5pm on Sundays
I went with my daughter's 6th grade class. It is not as intense as you would think. They have allot of interactive stuff. Rosa parks, slavery, bullying, and bringing each other up instead of tearing them down were all touched on in our tour
No, it’s $25 extra on Labor day
For me there is a lot of very important information that one does not even imagine and a very sad istori
The virtual experience right now til 1/31/19 is - The Last Goodbye. Showings start at 11 and run until 4. It is 20m long. Reserving a time is recommened but not manditory.
Weekdays 10 AM – 5 PM Thursday evenings until 8 PM Weekends 10 AM – 5 PM
I personally think it's a great age to start learning about this part of history.
They have a coat room where you leave your coat. Then you go through a metal detector. Due to the nature of the exhibits there is higher security then I was initially expecting but it is understandable.

I'm pretty sure you can. There's an elevator to go downstairs.
She’s asking about Meip Geis, one of the people who helped Anne Frank and her family when they hid above Mr. Frank’s office.
